39’14", Franklin County, Hydrologic Unit 01080203, on right bank 0.4 mi
downstream from South River, 1.2 mi west of West Deerfield, 2.5 mi west of
Deerfield, and 9.2 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--557 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Discharge: March to November 1904, January 1905, March
to December 1905, October 1940 to current year, published as "at
Deerfield" 1904–5.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 155 ft above sea level,
from topographic map. Prior to Dec. 16, 1905, nonrecording gage at site 1.5 mi
downstream at different datum.
REMARKS.--Records good except those for winter period and those for
estimated daily discharges, which are fair. Flow regulated since 1913 by
Somerset Reservoir, since 1924 by Harriman Reservoir, and by several
powerplants upstream. Satellite gage-height telemeter at station.
