USGS 02235000 WEKIVA RIVER NR SANFORD, FLA.

 

PROVISIONAL DATA SUBJECT TO REVISION

 
 
 

LOCATION.--Lat 28°48'54", long 81°25'10", in SE1/4 sec.21, T.19 S., R.29 E., Seminole County, Hydrologic Unit 03080101, near right bank at downstream side of bridge on State Highway 46, 4.5 mi downstream from Little Wekiva River, 6.7 mi upstream from mouth, and 8.9 mi west of Sanford.

DRAINAGE AREA.--189 sq.mi.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1931 to September 1935 (discharge measurements only), October 1935 to current year.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 4.96 ft above sea level. Prior to Jan. 19, 1960, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.

REMARKS.--Flow includes large ground-water inflow.
