USGS 03118000 Middle Branch Nimishillen Creek at Canton OH

Station operated in cooperation with the City of Canton, Ohio. 
 03118000 Middle Branch Nimishillen Creek at Canton, Ohio
 LOCATION.--Lat 40°50'29", long 81°21'14", in NE < sec. 27, T. 11 N.,
  R. 8 W., on downstream end of right bridge abutment on Martindale Road, 
  0.8 mile upstream from Rt. 62 bridge over Middle Branch Nimishillen Creek, 
  2.4 miles upstream from mouth and 0.5 mile northeast of Canton.
 DRAINAGE AREA.--43.1 mi².
 PERIOD OF RECORD.--Established Sept. 16, 1941
 GAGE.--Handar 555 with a 30 minute recording interval. Type "A" 
  wire-weight gage is attached to downstream side of bridge. 
  Datum of gage is 1,046.60 ft, NGVD of 1912.
 REMARKS.--Some water is taken indirectly from creek as recharge for 
  aquifer supplying northeast well field for part of municipal supply 
  for city of Canton.
