LOCATION.--Lat 39°56'21", long 82°00'43", Muskingum County, on island
between canal and river 600 ft downstream from "Y" bridge on U.S.
Highway 40 and mouth of Licking River.
DRAINAGE AREA.--6,844 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--1960 to current year, stage only. Previous records
obtained at site 2,000 ft downstream (6th St bridge) 1905-12 and
1939-55.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Gage datum is 667.00 ft above National
Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. For period of 1939-1955, gage datum
at 665.0 ft above mean sea level, adjustment of 1912. Prior to 1939,
staff gage at site 1,000 ft downstream.
REMARKS.--Flow regulated by 15 flood-control reservoirs.
