LOCATION.--Lat 40°10'56", long 82°57'42", in SE 1/4 sec. 1, T.3 N.,
R.18 W., Delaware County, Hydrologic Unit 05060001, on right bank
400 ft upstream of bridge on Lewis Center Road, 1,200 ft
downstream from outlet of Alum Creek Dam, 0.3 mi west of Africa,
2.8 mi upstream from Westerville Reservoir outlet, and 4.2 mi
northwest of Westerville.
DRAINAGE AREA.--122 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Water year 1962 (occasional low-flow
measurements) June 1963 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 822.00 ft above sea
level. (Levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). July 9, 1974 to
Sept. 30, 1985, at datum 22.00 ft lower. Oct. 17, 1973 to July
9, 1974 nonrecording gage at bridge 400 ft downstream at datum
22.00 ft lower. Prior to Oct. 17, 1973 water-stage recorder 600
ft downstream at datum 4.63 ft lower.
REMARKS.--Flow regulated by Alum Creek Lake since August 1973. Water-
quality data collected at this site 1965 to 1977. Sediment data
collected 1969 to 1974. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite
telemeter at station.
