 04102700  SOUTH BRANCH BLACK RIVER NEAR BANGOR, MI

 LOCATION.--Lat 42°21'15", long 86°11'15", in NW1/4 sec.28, T.1 S., R.16 W.,
 Van Buren County, Hydrologic Unit 04050002, on left bank 50 ft upstream from
 bridge on 66th Street, 4.9 mi northwest of Bangor.

 DRAINAGE AREA.--83.6 mi2.

 PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1966 to current year.  Prior to October 1981, published
 as Black River near Bangor.

 GAGE.--Water-stage recorder.  Elevation of gage is 610 ft above sea level, from
 topographic map.

 Station operated in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
