USGS 05360500 FLAMBEAU RIVER NEAR BRUCE, WI

  LOCATION
 

LOCATION.--Lat 45°22'21", long 91°12'34", in Lot 7 of NW 1/4 sec.2, T.33 N., R.7 W., Rusk County, 

Hydrologic Unit 07050002, on right bank 2.5 mi downstream from Thornapple Powerplant, 6.0 mi 

upstream from mouth, and 7.0 mi southeast of Bruce.

 

DRAINAGE AREA.--1,860 square miles.

 

PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1951 to current year.

 

REVISED RECORDS.--WDR WI-82-1:  Drainage area.

 

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 1,056.34 ft above sea level.

 

REMARKS.--Flow regulated by several powerplants above station and by Rest Lake and Flambeau 

Flowage Reservoirs.  Gage-height telemeter at station.

 

Station operated in cooperation with Northern States Power Company, Dairyland Power Coop and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
