  LOCATION
 

LOCATION.--Lat 44°17'37", long 90°50'47", in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.15, T.21 N., R.4 W., Jackson County, 

Hydrologic Unit 07040007, on right bank 500 ft downstream from bridge on State Highway 54 in Black 

River Falls, 1,000 ft downstream from Town Creek and about 0.4 mi downstream from Northern States 

Powerplant. 

 

DRAINAGE AREA.--1,590 square miles.

 

PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1985 to current year.  

 

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 700.00 ft above sea level.

 

REMARKS.--Flow partly regulated Hatfield Dam Powerplant where drainage area is 1,290 square miles 

and storage capacity is 272,000,000 cubic feet. Gage-height telemeter at station.

 

Station operated in cooperation with Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Minnesota, and the City of Black River Falls
