USGS 05430175 YAHARA RIVER NEAR FULTON, WI

  LOCATION
 

LOCATION.--Lat 42°49'35", long 89°10'19", in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.10, T.4 N., R.11 E., Rock County, 

Hydrologic Unit 07090001, on left bank, 20 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 59, 0.5 mi 

downstream from Badfish Creek, and 2.6 mi northwest of Fulton.

 

DRAINAGE AREA.--518 square miles.

 

PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1977 to current year.

 

REVISED RECORDS.--WDR WI-96-1:  Drainage area.

 

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage.  Datum of gage is 789.45 ft above sea level.  July 1977 

to April 1996, recording gage at site about 2,000 ft upstream at datum 2.85 ft higher.

 

REMARKS.--Diurnal fluctuation caused by powerplant at Stebbensville 1.5 mi upstream, and additional 

regulation from other dams and powerplants upstream.

 

 

Station operated in cooperation with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District.
