PROVISIONAL FLOOD INFORMATION - September 2004

Provisional data from the flood of Sept. 15-16, 2004 includes a measured flow of 16,500 cubic feet per second at our stream-gaging station. The measurement was made on the 15th at about 2300 hours.

Flood-frequency analysis makes this a 100-200 year event. The previous flood of record was on July 10, 2000 and at that time was determined to be a 100-200 year event. With the additional data added up to an including the 2004 peak flow, the 2000 event recomputes to a 50-100 year flood frequency.
