LOCATION.--Lat 43° 38'20", long 111° 42'56", in NE1/4 NW1/4 sec.35,
T.4 N., R.40 E., Jefferson County, Hydrologic Unit 17040201, on right bank
30 ft downstream from county road bridge, 1.3 mi downstream from head, and
2.7 mi east of Ririe.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--1923-27 and miscellaneous measurements during 1970-72
(formerly published as "Great Feeder Canal"), October 1976 to current year
(irrigation seasons only prior to 1977).
GAGE.--Elevation of gage is 4,985 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS.--Canal occupies an old high water channel of Snake River and is a
diversion or feeder canal from Snake River to a group of canals. Flow from
Snake River regulated by headgates 1.3 mi upstream from gage.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 5,090 ft3/s
June 20, 1986, July 10, 1998; no flow Apr. 3-12, 1997, Apr. 9-10, 1998,
