PROVISIONAL DATA SUBJECT TO REVISION

 
 
 
LOCATION.--Lat 44° 56'24", long 113° 38'21", in NW1/4 NE1/4 sec.32, 
T.19 N., R.24 E., Lemhi County, Hydrologic Unit 17060204, on right bank, 
35 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 28, 1.4 mi south of Tendoy, 
l.8 mi upstream from Agency Creek, 6.2 mi north of Lemhi, and at mile 28.8.

DRAINAGE AREA.--895 mi2, approximately.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--November 1938 to August 1939, April 1955 to September 1963, 
water years 1964-67 (annual maximum), August 1967 to current year.

REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 1397: 1939.

GAGE.--Elevation of gage is 4,960 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. 
Prior to Aug. 25, 1967, at site 1.5 mi upstream at different datum. 
November 1938 to August 1939, nonrecording gage; Apr. 29, 1955 to Sept. 30, 1963, 
nonrecording gage and supplemental crest-stage gage; Oct. 1, 1963 to Aug. 24, 1967, 
crest-stage gage only.

REMARKS.--Diversions above station for irrigation of about 25,500 acres, of which 
about 200 acres are irrigated by withdrawals from ground water (1966 determination).

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,430 ft3/s June 21, 1984, 
gage height, 7.19 ft;  minimum, 31 ft3/s Aug. 6, 1988, gage height, 2.39 ft.
