Station operated in cooperation with the Wallowa Soil and Water Conservation District. 

STATION.-- 13329770 WALLOWA RIVER ABOVE CROSS COUNTRY CANAL, NEAR ENTERPRISE, OR

LOCATION.--Lat 45° 29'18", long 117° 24'10", in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.11, T.1 N., R.43 E., Wallowa 
County, Hydrologic Unit 17060105, on left bank, 300 ft upstream from Cross Country canal, 6 mi 
northwest of Enterprise, and at mile 32.5.
DRAINAGE AREA.--Not determined.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--April to September 1995.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder.  Elevation of gage is 3,330 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic 
map.
REMARKS.-Regulation by Wallowa Lake.  Many diversions for irrigation upstream from gage.   
U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
COOPERATION.--Gage height record is collected and discharge measurements made by the Wallowa County 
Soil and Water Conservation District. Final records are provided by the State of Oregon Water Resources 
Department. Discharge measurements and records are reviewed by the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,590 ft3/s July 9, 1997, gage height, 
4.17 ft; maximum gage height, 3.76 ft July 3, 1996, minimum discharge, 92 ft3/s 
Sept. 5, 2001.
