LOCATION.--Lat 44° 29'56", long 121° 19'12", in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.29, T.12 S., R.12 E., Jefferson
County, Hydrologic Unit 17070301, on right bank 2.5 mi downstream from Squaw Creek, 6.0 mi southwest
of Culver, and at mile 120.1.
DRAINAGE AREA.--2,705 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1952 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,980 ft above NGVD of 1929 (river-profile
survey). July 14, 1952, to Sept. 30, 1961, at site 4.1 mi downstream at different datum.
REMARKS.--Flow regulated by Crescent Lake and Crane Prairie and Wickiup Reservoirs. Many
diversions for irrigation upstream from station. Continuous water-quality records for the period
October 1954 to September 1957 and January 1959 to September 1974 have been collected at this location.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 6,680 ft3/s Dec. 24, 1964, gage height,
10.00 ft, from rating curve extended above 3,000 ft3/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak
flow; minimum discharge, 418 ft3/s July 7, 8, 1964.
