LOCATION.--Lat 43° 56'45", long 122° 50'10", in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.5, T.19 S., R.1 W.,
Lane County, Hydrologic Unit 17090001, on right bank 0.6 mi upstream from Lost Creek,
2.0 mi northwest of Dexter, 2.6 mi downstream from Dexter Dam, and at mile 201.2.
DRAINAGE AREA.--1,001 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1946 to current year. Prior to October 1954, published as
"at Lowell".
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 592.30 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by
Corps of Engineers). Prior to Aug. 23, 1950, nonrecording gage and Aug. 23, 1950, to
Sept. 30, 1954, at site 4.0 mi upstream at different datum, and June 9, 1955, to
Feb. 18, 1977, at datum 3.00 ft higher.
REMARKS.--Records good. Flow regulated since 1953 by Lookout Point Lake (station 14149000),
since 1955 by Dexter Lake (re-regulating), and since 1961 by Hills Creek Lake (station
14145100).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 62,600 ft3/s Jan. 18, 1953, gage height,
12.46 ft, site and datum then in use, from rating curve extended above 33,000 ft3/s; minimum
daily discharge, 100 ft3/s Nov. 25, 1960.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum stage, 13.9 ft Dec. 28, 1945, former site and
datum.
