LOCATION.--Lat 44° 24'45", long 122䓩'15", in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.13 S., R.1 E., Linn
County, Hydrologic Unit 17090006, on left bank 0.6 mi downstream from Wiley Creek and at
mile 37.0.
DRAINAGE AREA.--557 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1973 to current year. Records for October 1966 to July 1973
(published as South Santiam River at Foster, station 14186700) at site 0.5 mi upstream not
equivalent owing to inflow between sites.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 560 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic
map.
REMARKS.--Flow regulated since October 1966 by Green Peter Lake (station 14186100) and
since December 1966 by Foster Lake (station 14186600). No diversion upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 28,700 ft3/s Feb. 7, 1996, gage height,
18.74 ft, from rating curve extended above 16,000 ft3/s; minimum discharge, 343 ft3/s
July 18, 2001.
