Event Summary:

The Environmental Technologies Trade Mission to Hong Kong and Beijing and
Shanghai, China, October 26-November 2, 2004, offers a timely opportunity for
U.S. firms to tap into some of the fastest growing markets for U.S.
environmental equipment and technology in the world. Best export prospects for
U.S. companies include equipment for solid (medical and hazardous) waste
treatment, wastewater treatment (municipal and industrial), and air pollution
control. At each stop, trade mission participants will benefit from country
briefings and one-to-one business meetings with prospective agents,
distributors, partners, and end-users. In Shanghai and Beijing, companies will
also visit environmental projects and meet with high-level government officials
to gain information on regulatory and project opportunities. In addition,
trade mission participants will benefit from exposure in a product literature
display at the USA Pavilion at Pollutec China 2004, a U.S.
Department of Commerce Certified Trade Fair. Pollutec will take place in
Shanghai November 3-5, 2004, immediately following the trade mission. Offered
this year for the first time in China, Pollutec is building on 20 years of
success in France, where more than 2,200 exhibitors from 32 countries and
63,000 trade visitors do business annually.
