Several agencies within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) use remote sensing data and related technologies to support their research and operational activities.  Although each agency has a different mission and responsibilities, similar data sets and technologies are used by multiple agencies to help them accomplish their objectives.  The Remote Sensing Coordination Committee (RSCC) brings together experts from each of these agencies to promote information sharing within USDA and to help ensure the most efficient and cost-effective use of these data and technologies by the Department.

This web site provides an overview of the RSCC and the remote sensing activities of several USDA agencies.  Click on the links to the left to learn more about the RSCC, including the scope, responsibilities, and composition of the committee.  The Member Agencies section identifies the active members of this committee and provides an overview of how these agencies use remote sensing data and technologies to accomplish research and operational objectives.  Click on these links to identify the Remote Sensing Coordinator for each agency and to access additional links which provide more detailed information on that agency's remote sensing activities.
