The
National Wood In Transportation Program strives to diversify local
economies by providing the technical and financial assistance needed
to expand the use of wood in transportation networks. By developing
markets for underutilized wood; advancing modern timber bridge designs;
improving wood composite products; and providing information to
local community leaders, business officials, and engineers, the
Program strives to improve local economies and infrastructure systems
while utilizing America's primary renewable resource, wood. Please
browse our Web site to learn more about the National Wood In Transportation
Program, obtain information on wood transportation structures, download
a grant application, and order or download publications from our
extensive library.
The Wood In Transportation Program is not included in the President's Fiscal Year 2005 budget.
