National Center for Injury Prevention and Control

NCIPC works to reduce morbidity, disability, mortality, and costs
associated with injuries. As the lead Federal agency for injury prevention, NCIPC works closely with
other Federal agencies; national,
State, and local organizations;

and local health departments; and research institutions. The NCIPC

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the
Federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related disease and injury. NIOSH is responsible for conducting research on the full scope of
