Requirements: The position is located in the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH. The incumbent will support the immunology core laboratory mission of the evaluation of immune response of participants in VRC clinical trials.

 
Clinical Research Associate Requisition Number: 200238

Requirements: The Clinical Development Support Section Head will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, support and coordination of clinical infrastructure and capabilities at national and international sites required to support US FDA-regulated clinical vaccine research and development, and specifically HIV vaccine efficacy testing and licensing.

 
Financial Data Entry Specialist Requisition Number: 200737

Requirements: This position is under the Associate Director for Management and Operations (ADMO) and provides technical data entry and administrative support and technical expertise to assist the Vaccine Research Center in the areas of budgetary and financial analysis, contract management, staffing projections and analyses and special short-term and long-term projects. Inputs data within financial data spreadsheets, and performs financial data quality control. Coordinates communication between program leaders and staff to ensure and facilitate the flow of financial information, progress and results of activities. Utilizes data systems to access and disseminate financial data. Provides technical administrative support to staff in managing contract portfolios. Provides data input for program cost analyses such as development of life cycle or other cost analyses of projects, or performance of cost benefit evaluations of programs including staff effort and resource needs. Provides data input for analyses to determine financial implications of staffing patterns, growth needs, workload and contract utilization. Closely coordinates activities with VRC senior administrative officer staff. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Illustrator/Writer Requisition Number: 200405

Requirements: Responsible for providing manuscript graphs, charts, and illustration writing/editorial skills in connection with all phases of the preparation and issuance of scientific journal technical reports, articles, scripts, and software documentation for the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) at the National Institutes of Health. Using Excel spreadsheets and other materials provided by scientists, creates scientific journal quality graphs, charts, illustrations, and designs. Edits, re-writes and proofreads specialized medical and technical reports, articles, books and other materials for publication or presentation. Revises software documentation, scripts, and reports based on editorial, technical, oversight, and end-user comments without altering the technical content to be presented. Develops specific production notes describing instructions and screen dynamics to be executed by programming staff. Proven track record in preparing scientific journal graphs, charts, and illustrations and editing documents.
