"Do I have to call him Dad now, too?" "Why do we have to leave our house and move into their house?" "How can she tell me what to do when she's not my real mom?"

Do these questions sound familiar? They probably do if you or someone you know is part of a blended family. Like in the old television show, The Brady Bunch, a blended family is formed when parents get divorced or widowed (when one parent dies) and then remarry. The parents bring their children together and create a new family.

What Happened to My Family?
Families are always changing and growing. These days, blended families are almost as common as families with two married parents and children. So if you're a member of a blended family, don't worry that your family isn't normal. These days, there are so many different kinds of families that even in your own school you'll find other kids from blended families!
