New PS&D; Country Groupings:
Please be advised that beginning May 13, 2004 that several Production Supply and Distribution (PS&D;) Online country groupings and several country spellings are changing. Five new country groups will be added. The EU-15 is expanded to create a EU-25 to reflect the new accessions taking place; the groups Eastern Europe and Other Western Europe are discontinued and the remaining countries are rolled into Other Europe. The EU-15 group will have data through 1998. The new European Union 25 group (EU-25) will include data beginning in 1999. FSU-12 consists of the FSU minus the three Baltic nations, and Other Asia is split into East Asia and Southeast Asia. For specific changes please refer to the About PS&D; Data tab above. |

Negative "Domestic consumption loss" numbers were incorrectly reported in both "raw data format download file routines" as zeros. These download routines were found in the "Intro/Tables page" and the "Custom query page." Correct numbers were reported in the custom query "online report view" and download file "Spreadsheet Format." |
Welcome to the Foreign Agricultural Service's Production, Supply and Distribution (PS&D;) online database. This database contains current and historical official USDA data on production, supply and distribution of agricultural commodities for the United States and key producing and consuming countries. Users may select from a menu of pre-defined tables categorized by commodity or commodity group (see Pre-defined Tables below), or create custom queries for specific commodities, attributes and/or countries (see Custom Query tab above). For your convenience, the system enables you to view queried data on screen or download it as a file that you can open with your spreadsheet or database program.
At the bottom of this page, you will find a link to an additional resource, the International Data Base (IDB) of demographic and socio-economic information. Please be aware however, that FAS does not maintain and is not responsible for this data. |
