The Regional office provides technical and administrative management for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) activities in water resources data collection, research, and analysis in the Northeastern Region.  The Region consists of District offices located in: Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland-Del. D.C., Massachusetts-Rhode Island, Michigan, New Hampshire-Vermont, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
