* The Required Funding represents the amount which would be required annually from a state, county, municipal, or local funding partner to operate one of these sites. The USGS would match that amount to fully fund the station. The annual cost to operate a standard station is $13,060. Federal agency funding partners cannot utilize USGS matching funds so the required funding for a standard station would be $13,060.

A partial funding commitment from another agency may have been received for some of these sites which would reduce the amount needed from a new funding partner.
