Overview of Guidelines
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) issues guidance documents for the medical management of HIV infection and other issues surrounding HIV infection. These documents contain technical information useful for health care providers, but patients, friends, and family members are encouraged to review the guidelines and discuss questions with their doctors, nurses, and other members of their health care team.
The guideline documents are periodically reviewed and updated by panels of HIV experts. Highlighted and/or bold text indicates the updated material. Please check back often for updates. To review previous versions of the guidelines, please see the guideline
archives.
You can also join our subscriber list to receive e-mail notification when updated guidelines are released.
