Product Description
The MODIS Level 2G 1km surface reflectance data state QA product, MYD09GST, is a
restructured version of its primary input, the state QA data in MYD09_L2. This
product summarizes the quality of the MYD09 products, specifically atmospheric
and other correction states. The product contains quality assurance data
pertaining to cloud and cloud shadow, land and water designations, aerosols, and
the data source of corrections performed on the file. The data product contains three Science Data Sets (SDSs); reflectance data state quality assurance, the number of observations, and observation coverage for each pixel. |

The corresponding pseudo-colored MYD09GST shows the land/water state of 1km MYD09 data, as described by the legend below. The image in the bottom right is a subset of the lower left corner of the MYD09GST, and emphasizes the detail with which the land water state is displayed.
