SAN
DIEGO and TIJUANA
The
County of San Diego Health and Human
Services, Immunizatioin Program is partnering
with several organizations to coordinate
four events in the San Diego and Tijuana
area for Vaccination Week in the Americas
2004. These events are in conjunction
with statewide California events in recognition
of National Infant Immunization Week
(April 25-May 1, 2004) and Toddler Immunization
Month (May 2004).
Physicians
Forum:
Immunization Update in the U.S.-Mexico
Border Region
Tuesday, April
27
Top physicians and immunization experts
will assemble to discuss the latest
information about new vaccines and
vaccine policy changes and other immunication
issues critcal to the border region.

Children's
Event:
Children
will demonstrate healthy lungs such
as blowing bubbles, using whistles,
and singing songs
Tuesday, April
27 and Wednesday, April 28
Stop Whooping Cough! events
will be held at child day care facilities
in San Diego and Tijuana. Each event
will include youngsters participating
in healthy lung activities while parents,
teachers, and medical professionals
discuss the importance of immunizations
against Pertussis (Whopping Cough).

of Health and Mental Hygiene and the
