For Authors
This section presents information on how to submit manuscripts to Preventing
Chronic Disease. We welcome articles on a wide range of
topics in chronic disease prevention and health promotion from a variety of
disciplines, including anthropology, behavioral science, biostatistics,
demography, epidemiology, health education, health services research, policy
analysis, program evaluation, and social science. Article formats include
essays, editorials, original research reports, reviews,
and announcements, among others.
Below, you will find detailed information on the entire process,
including the forms we require you to submit, links to such outside
resources as Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts
Submitted to Biomedical Journals*, and links to sources within this
Web site, such as checklists that we encourage peer reviewers to use as part
of the manuscript evaluation process.
