Blue Pages Program
The GSA Federal Technology Service manages the Blue Pages Program, a nation-wide effort to modernize the public's access to telephone directory information regarding government services. GSA's Blue Pages Team partners with 42 agencies and 25 telephone directory publishers to produce a standardized set of listings that are accurate, service oriented, and informative. Program accomplishments by the end of 2004 include over 700 revised telephone directories delivered to an estimated 85 million households—rural and urban—located in 46 states and the District of Columbia. The new Blue Pages directories include toll-free numbers and Internet addresses displayed in an easy-to-read and colorful format. The Blue Pages provide free publicity for other federal agencies by providing free banner information spots on the U.S. Blue Pages website. The site also educates citizens about the good news in federal government through special website features.
