The conference will feature leading genomics researchers from the USA and Japan who will present the most exciting recent advances in the field and identify future research opportunities. The Conference will convene in the J.R. Reynolds Conference Room in the McDonnell Building on the main Princeton University Campus.

There is no registration fee, but because space is limited interested individuals are requested to register in advance. Free parking will be provided on campus for pre-registered participants.

US-JAPAN Cooperative Medical Sciences Program

Now in its 37th year, the US-Japan CMSP is the oldest bilateral program between the USA and Japan. The CMSP is unique in two respects: 1) Priority disease and research areas are determined by their importance to the Pacific Basin rather than the USA or Japan; and 2) Panels of imminent scientists from both countries in priority disease areas and eminent US and Japanese scientists on the US and Japanese Committees provide information and advice to the leadership in both countries on priority setting and resource allocation in research. For the past several years, the US-Japan CMSP has taken advantage its Joint Committee Meeting to convene a scientific conference to provide members with information on particularly dynamic and important areas of science. The Functional Genomics Conference will be the latest of these events and the first held outside Washington, DC or Tokyo, Japan.
