Technology Center for IT Outsourcing

GSA's Center for IT Outsourcing offers services for:

  • Desktop/Seat Management;
  • Data Center Operations; and
  • Application Outsourcing.

GSA's Center for IT Outsourcing  allows federal agencies to  focus on their missions rather than day-to-day IT operations. Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis.

Desktop/Seat Management services include:

  • managed life cycle support from a single provider;
  • acquisition of commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware and software, and support services;
  • network management;
  • asset management;
  • help desk and maintenance; and
  • training as a single unified service.

Data Center Operations provides:

  • data processing;
  • support services from off-site contract facilities; and
  • migration planning.

Application Outsourcing provides an infrastructure of equipment and support  for running software (mega servers, mainframes, private networks, etc.). This allows federal customers to run applications that might otherwise require a major technological investment.  GSA can provide custom and commercial off the shelf software and services as needed on a per user basis.

GSA's Center for IT Outsourcing has an  experienced staff of experts who are ready to assist federal agencies in meeting their needs in:

  • acquisition, project, and financial management;
  • consultant support;
  • research and analysis;
  • requirements analyses;
  • economic (cost and feasibility) analyses;
  • cost of ownership studies; and
  • data mining and analysis.

All support can be phased in or provided on a "cradle to grave" basis.
