Data collection networks are the foundation of the Water-Quality Data & Analysis Section's program. The Section currently maintains the Ambient Water-Quality Monitoring Network with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, a long-term monitoring effort in the former Minuteman II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile deployment area with Whiteman AFB (Minuteman II), a twice yearly sampling effort in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Ozark NSR) with the National Park Service, an intensive stormwater data collection network with the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), monthly data collection within the Jacks Fork River basin with the National Park Service and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and three federally funded water-quality stations in the National Stream Quality Accounting Network (NASQAN).
