Overview of the WebSite

Navigating the Site:

Quick start phrase: "It's Clickable."
We have attempted to make navigation easy and instinctive. The banner appearing at the top of each page is "clickable" with hot links to the respective Website or page.

  • Clicking on any text in the main banner, from Admistration for Children and Families to Office of Administration will link you to their respective sites. The home page of this website is Office of Financial Services. Clicking on that text will always return you to the home page of OFS.

  • Topical breakouts fall out below. When you are within a topic area, the text will appear in faded script to alert you to your position within the website.

  • Clicking on any main topic will always bring you to the main page for that topic.

This will allow instant access to any main topic area from any page on our site.

About our Topic Areas:

  • Overview: (This page) deals with the nature of the web site including navigation, file formats, contacts and topic-driven site map

  • Financial Data: have been collected and are currently available from the 2nd Quarter FY 1998 through the 2nd Quarter FY 1999.

  • Audits: available are 1996 - 1998

  • Forms and Reports: including a collection of information on available grants, forms and reports available online and for download

About our Files:

  • Most textual information is available for reading online through your browser
[ Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) files ]

  • Self-extracting files may be downloaded; they contain MS Excel spreadsheets. Download the file by clicking on the link. When prompted, you should SAVE TO DISK. To easily find the file after you are done, it is recommended that you save the file to your Windows Desktop. The icon will appear after you have downloaded the file, and have closed your browser. Double clicking that file icon will expand the spreadsheet file.

  • Get Acrobat Reader. Some documentation is in Adobe Acrobat format. To open, view and print these documents you will need either the free Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange. To download a free copy of Acrobat Reader, go to: http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html.
