Other Freight Management and Operations Key Program Areas
- Freight Analysis conducts research on commodity flows and related freight transportation activities, develops analytical tools, measures system performance, and examines the relationship between freight transportation improvements and the economy.
- Intermodal Freight Technology conducts operational tests of intelligent transportation system technologies, supports the development of tools to evaluate infrastructure and operational needs at border crossings, and promotes the development of standards for information exchange.
- Vehicle Size & Weight certifies state compliance with Federal standards and provides information on state enforcement activities, reporting requirements, and contacts.
