NSF Grantees Conference, December 13-15, 2004
Arlington, VA 22230
Preliminary Program
The National Science Foundation will sponsor its annual Grantees Conference
on Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NSE) in December 13-15, 2004. This
program review and research networking will be focused on the outcomes
of the FY 2003 NSE awards. It will highlight the ongoing research of grantee
projects and includes roundtable discussions designed to promote new partnerships
for research and education among the NSE community. The conference provides
an opportunity for timely dissemination of innovative research progress,
facilitation of partnerships, and identification of future research directions.
These interdisciplinary interactions will advance the goals of the National
Nanotechnology Initiative.
This conference brings together grantee teams from the NSF
NSE program. The first project grants from the NSE program were awarded
in 2001 (NSF
00-119), followed by those in 2002 (NSF
01-157) and 2003 (NSF
02-148) and 2004 (NSF
03-043). Team projects consist of Nanoscale Interdisciplinary Research
Teams (NIRTs) and Nanoscale Science and Engineering Centers (NSECs).
