OVERVIEW:
Calculation of travel per diem rates within the Federal government
is a shared responsibility of three organizations:
- The
General Services Administration (GSA) provides
rates for the Continental US. GSA updates the Continental
US rates once a year or as necessary, normally the rates are updated
in October. If you have questions or concerns regarding the Continental
US per diem rates, please e-mail GSA at PerdiemChat@gsa.gov

VACANCY
- The
Department of State provides rates for
non-U.S. Overseas locations and updates these rates at the
beginning of every month. If you may have questions regarding
the per diem rates, please contact the Office of Allowances at

- The
Per Diem Committee provides rates for NonContinental
US and Overseas Non-Foreign areas.; E.g. Alaska, Hawaii, Guam,
etc. once a year or as necessary. If you may have questions or
