Part 1: Southwest Coast Regional Water Quality Consortium

Consortium Goals: 
  • Create a Centralized GIS System of Monitoring Sites and Parameters Measured.
  • Create Linkages Between Regional Monitoring Groups and Managers.
  • Inter-calibrate Regional Water Quality Monitoring Laboratories.
  • Share Nomenclature and Data Codes to Facilitate Data Dissemination.
  • Meet Quarterly to Discuss Inter-Lab Calibrations and Regional Issues.
  • Highlight Successful Management Applications of Water Quality Monitoring Data.

Consortium Philosophy 
  • Membership is voluntary and the Consortiums acts only by consensus.
  • Member goals may differ, but the ConsortiumĖs ultimate goal is to improve coastal management through informed decisonmaking.
