  commodity trade

For most U.S. agricultural commodities, more than one-quarter of total production or use is exported or imported, making trade critical to U.S. agriculture. ERS analyzes U.S. trade and estimates total trade by commodity for non-U.S. countries. Limited information on bilateral trade for selected foreign countries with non-U.S. trading partners is available.
