COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATION & REVIEW CENTER

The
Center coordinates public communications for USDA general offices, developing
policies and plans for effective execution of development and dissemination of
public affairs information, providing centralized leadership to Department-wide
special information projects, and advising on all aspects of publishing. The
Center develops nationally and internationally significant Departmental news
releases, statements for the media, and similar information prepared in
coordination with other Federal Department or agencies. CCRC counsels and
advises senior officials and agency information directors and staffs in serving
the Department's many audiences, and develops policies and plans for crisis
communications, continuity of OC operations, and for policy regarding
publications, periodicals, and final review of manuscripts. CCRC is responsible
for issuing the employee newsletter, USDA NEWS, and serves as the Departmental
authority for policy and coordination of responses under the Freedom of
Information Act. |
