I Pledge my Head |
Statues of A. B. Graham and two youth representing the origin of 4-H were unveiled at a small park in Springfield, Ohio, in August. The site is next to the old courthouse where Graham started the Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Experiment Club on Jan. 15, 1902. Graham's club is considered by many to be the beginning of 4-H. Over 7 million youth and 500,000 adult and teen volunteers celebrated National 4-H Week, October 3-8. Dr. Cathann Kress, National 4-H Headquarters, proclaimed the start 4-H Week 2004. |
