The statistics found herein refer only to the Hispanic population of the United States; the population of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is not included in the data, but Puerto Ricans residing in the United States are included.

  1. The Current Population Survey (CPS)

    The Current Population Survey is the largest monthly household survey conducted by the U.S. Bureau of the Census. This survey was designed to produce results at the national level. The prepared tables herein are at the national level.

    Data Access System - Ferret - provides reformatted or user defined access to select years of CPS data.

  2. Estimates & Projections

    Estimates and projections for the Hispanic population of the United States, states and counties, are available. Population estimates for The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico are also available.

    1990 Census

    The 1990 census provides a wealth of data on the Hispanic origin population. Users may access the 1990 census data from the Summary Tape Files using the American FactFinder.

    Summary Tape File 3 provides information on the following Hispanic Origin Population groups:
