GSA's "Office of Budget" under the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as staff to the CFO in the conduct of centralized budget administration and program analysis and review for all programs and activities under the jurisdiction of GSA. Advises and provides direction to agency managers on budgetary and related fiscal matters. Provides policy direction governing the budget formulation and execution processes. Reviews and makes recommendations on all Service and Staff Office budget requests, as well as on legislation or program proposals with fiscal impact. Maintains full-time equivalent (FTE) employment ceiling controls. Administers the agency’s commercial activities (A-76) program.
