SEC Announces Regulation NMS Public Hearings Schedule Change

Washington, D.C., March 30, 2004 - The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced a scheduling change to its public hearings on proposed Regulation NMS, a proposal designed to enhance and modernize the regulatory structure of the U.S. equity markets. The first hearing will take place on April 21, 2004, in New York, rather than on Thursday, April 1, in Washington, D.C. to better accommodate the schedules of participants.

Subsequent hearings will be scheduled as needed.
