Members of Congress Discuss Centerline Project in Orange County 

During the April Congressional Recess, Garden Grove Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez welcomed Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) to Orange County to discuss issues of livability and how public transportation systems can enhance the quality of life and mobility for people who live in high-density urban areas such as Orange County.

Centerline Project planners also gave an update on the latest developments of the rail project and answered questions.  More than 100 people were in attendance. 

Blumenauer serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is a member of the International Relations Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has advocated vigorously for transportation policies, programs, and funding levels that support regional planning, encourage public participation, and enable communities to craft a range of transportation options.
