Loretta meets with Arab American and Muslim Leaders

ANAHEIM, Calif.-- Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez attended the Arab American and Muslim Summit on June 5, where she met with more than 50 prominent Arab-American and Muslim-American leaders in the City of Anaheim to promote their contributions across the United States, particularly in the City of Anaheim. 

Sanchez recognized the political momentum in the Arab and Muslim communities with the growing number of Arab- and Muslim-American elected officials.   She stressed the importance of these public servants, as they convey their communities’ insights and knowledge that encourage cultural awareness. 

During the meeting leaders proposed several projects that would elevate Arab and Muslims’ presence in Anaheim.  Currently the City of Anaheim enjoys “Little Arabia,” a commercial district that attracts over 200,000 people a year with about 140 Arab and Muslim shops and restaurants.
