If this practice causes harm to the investor, should"nt he/she have the opportunity to at least recover any losses that could have been avoided had the broker not touted a known inferior product? Just my thoughts, but I have heard this mentioned many times by other investors. Thank you for your consideration of the opinions of people like myself who are retired and have limited funds for investment. It seems that we are the frequent target of the hustlers who have infested some of these companies. While I have been fortunate to have my very modest investments with an ethical company, I know of other seniors who have been steered into investments that are completely wrong for their situation.
