In
1986, SDDC was tasked with managing the rental car program for the federal
government. SDDC implemented the U.S. Government Rental Car Agreement. Because
of this agreement travelers with a travel order or government-sponsored charge
card receive superior rates when renting for official business. The agreement
has many benefits other than rates, such as unlimited mileage, reduced age
restriction and collision damage waiver insurance.
