DURUM WHEAT PROSPECTS FOR 1999/2000
August 1999
Durum wheat production for 1999/2000 in selected durum-producing countries is estimated to be lower than last year due to decreases for the United States, EU-15, and Canada, countries which in aggregate account for nearly sixty percent of the global production. Reductions are also expected in Syria, Turkey, Algeria, and Morocco.
