CDC's Director, Dr. Julie Gerberding, in a major step forward for public health informatics and PHIN, delivered the 2003 American Medical Informatics Association plenary lecture.

Her presentation entitled "21st Century Health Threats: Preparedness in a Small World," which prominently describes PHIN and its importance for public health, is available below for viewing.
